Story Points & duration tracking

What you get

• Over time you learn how well refinement — and you — estimate, and where you are systematically off.
• Story Points are independent of time: a one-hour task can be fiddly (SP5), a three-hour task can be straight-line (SP3).
• For tech leads: per-project velocity trends without extra tooling.
• The estimate also drives model selection — small tasks go to a cheaper model, big ones to a stronger one.

How you use it

1. At creation or refinement, Sightdeck AI suggests Story Points and a time estimate, based on your project's own finished tasks.
2. Change either on the Overview tab of the task's details at any time.
3. When the task starts, the real duration is recorded automatically. Time the task spent waiting for your answer is left out, so a question you answered the next morning does not make the work look slow.
4. In the done list you see estimate versus reality side by side.
5. For the bigger picture, the Pace and Story Points tabs of Insights show how each Story Point really spends its time, and AI Learning feeds those numbers back into new estimates.
