Sightdeck AIAgentic Studio

Changelog

1.5.0
Added
  • New Providers: run your tasks with Claude Code or Codex. Every provider profile has its own page with configuration folder, command, colour, models and terminal behaviour, and installs the Sightdeck AI skill straight into its own folder. Each project picks its default provider, shown in the sidebar.
  • Brand new Agents view to run agent sessions right inside the Sightdeck AI window. Every session shows its task, status, branch, progress and changes; open one full size, answer it, stop it, or start queued tasks and plain terminals from there. A terminal dock under each project (Ctrl/Cmd + `) keeps sessions at hand, and sessions keep running when Sightdeck AI restarts or crashes.
  • Brand new Stages and Workflows: run every task through stages in order, each stage on its own provider and model, following a workflow of steps you draw in the workflow editor. Steps can depend on story points, task types and tags, can be switched off, and let all agents work, pick the best one or let the team decide. A later stage, such as a review on another provider, can send a task back, and the new Stage view shows where every task stands.
  • Brand new Code view to browse and edit your project's files: tabs, syntax highlighting, find and replace, go to file with Cmd/Ctrl+P, git status in the file tree, a Markdown preview with a table of contents, a Makefile targets outline, and new, rename, move and delete right in the tree.
  • New Code Review in the Code view: see every changed file before and after side by side, ask the AI why a change was made, and tick off files or whole folders as reviewed.
  • Brand new Store with ready-made workflows, stage setups, agents, Definition of Done checklists, instruction templates, skills, slash commands, hooks, MCP servers, launch actions and task templates. Browse by category or the Featured page, read ratings and reviews, try workflows in a dry run before installing, update your copy, and publish your own templates.
  • Brand new AI Learning: teach a project from its own finished tasks how long its tickets really take and how its story points spread, so estimates and remaining time follow your real numbers. Each module shows whether it actually helped.
  • The desktop app has a new look that matches the website, with a softer light theme and the Agentic Studio subtitle.
  • New Definition of Done checklists for each agent and for the whole team. Every finished task shows which items were met.
  • New Instructions in the project settings to edit CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md and similar files with preview, outline, review before saving and protection against overwriting, or to fill them from templates.
  • Brand new Profiler for every task: all tool calls of a run on one timeline, what held it up, where the money went and what to change.
  • New Task Dependencies: mark a task as blocked by or related to another, see everything in a dependency graph, let the AI suggest missing links, and decide per project whether an open predecessor blocks, warns or is ignored. Up Next can put its queue in the right order with one click.
  • New Start button in the project head: it runs your start, stop and health commands from the new Startup Commands settings, restarts in one click, shows the output live and turns into Stop while your health check passes.
  • See how much of your 5-hour and weekly Claude usage limits is used and get warned before they run out.
  • New Ask the project chat to ask anything about your project and get answers read from its code, and a Help chat in the header that answers from the documentation with its sources.
  • Sightdeck AI now speaks German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
  • Choose how a task starts: on a new branch per task, on one shared branch for a whole selection, or on your current branch without any git actions.
  • New Approval Gate and Follow-up Tasks settings: decide which decisions the agent must ask you about, and whether findings outside a task become new tasks.
  • Define your own task types per project, and import issues from GitHub as tasks.
  • Team projects protect every member's tasks: only the owner can change them, everyone else can still read them.
  • Move tasks into or out of an epic, merge several tasks into a new epic, and see which subtask runs now and next.
  • Running tasks show how much time is left, and a queued task that cannot start yet says why.
  • The Git settings have a Main branch, one shared branch per epic, and a list of ignored files, such as .env, to copy into new worktrees.
  • Journals can be written by any provider in every app language, and Insights can be scoped to any period.
  • Plus: a concept folder of your choice, project favourites in every dropdown, more cleanups in Maintain, drag a folder onto the window to add a project, and a remembered window size.
Changed
  • Sightdeck AI keeps its instructions for agents in its own file and no longer writes into CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md.
  • Task details are split into tabs, so you see what a task is without scrolling. A running task opens on its Activity tab.
  • Insights has been rebuilt with five tabs, one filter row and charts from real day-by-day data.
  • Model Assignment and Planning moved into each project's Refinement settings, stored per provider, and each project names its own default provider.
  • Refinement estimates story points from your project's own finished tasks instead of a fixed scale.
  • Queued tasks run through without stopping to ask you. They decide open points themselves and record every decision.
  • Durations and estimates leave out time a task spent waiting for your answer.
  • Moving a task to Done no longer commits or pushes anything, and git branches are only created for runs started from Sightdeck AI.
  • The sidebar is split into Reports and Work, and project settings use the full width and say for each setting whether it is shared or stays on this computer.
  • Project commands accept several lines, including line continuations and embedded scripts.
  • Costs are shown in your language's number format.
Fixed
  • Commands, launch actions, schedules, task templates, the archive and estimate suggestions work again in projects shared with a team.
  • Team files stay clean after git merges, and Jira copies refresh again without double updates.
  • Finished tasks commit and push everything on their feature branch, so nothing is left behind on main.
  • Queued epics start their subtasks, queued tasks start while another run is going, and a stopped session restarts on its own.
  • Cards show the right state: answered cards no longer ask for you, and a session stopped on a question turns the card red.
  • Mentioning a task number that does not exist no longer starts a different task, and moving a task to Done by hand always works.
  • Token usage and file changes are recorded again in projects that run some hooks themselves.
  • Sightdeck AI no longer creates files in projects where it is not set up, and quitting on macOS closes it right away.
  • Commands run in the project folder again, and the Backlog and Done heading buttons work again.
  • Maintain no longer offers repairs that cannot work and works under symlinked folders.
1.4.0
Added
  • Brand new Sightdeck Anywhere (Beta) service to reach your Sightdeck AI from anywhere — open the global settings, activate the server, scan the QR code and control your agents from your phone, wherever you are.
  • Brand new Team Settings in projects: give every team member their own number range and ticket IDs, so checking the Sightdeck AI files into your git repository no longer causes conflicts — collaboration on one board becomes straightforward.
  • New Commands in the project settings — use them like templates for the moments you do not need AI at all, and run static scripts straight from Sightdeck AI or from your phone.
  • A new Journals view turns a day, a week or a month of finished work into a short report you can read and hand on — themed bullets or prose, switchable between what you need, what your team needs and what a customer needs, with copy and PDF export.
  • A new custom prompt per project is added to every task Claude starts, so your own rules do not have to be repeated each time. The prompt stays on your own computer and is never shared with your team.
  • Improved Live Progress with breakdown steps and ETA — a running task now shows its steps, how far along it is, which file is being worked on and how much time is left. You can turn this off under Settings → Live Progress.
  • New configuration for task cards: the global settings now let you decide which fields appear on the cards in the list and board view.
  • The Jira import wizard now has an assignee filter — it starts on your own tickets, and you can clear it to import everyone's or type in someone else.
  • New before and after hooks to pick commands that run automatically before or after a task is completed.
  • The multi-select bar can now move every selected task to another status in one step — for example a whole batch of backlog tasks into Up Next.
  • New rules and examples for the Change Log Builder, so the entries it writes match the wording your project already uses.
  • Dropping a task onto In Progress now starts it automatically, the same as pressing Start.
  • Next to Resume there is now a Restart button that starts the task fresh instead of continuing the previous session.
  • Project settings now have a Maintenance tab that lists unused files and broken references for you to remove or fix.
  • Jira tickets are now written to their own mirror file next to the concept, so a re-import no longer overwrites the plan you built yourself.
  • The Jira import now also fetches comments, attachments, priority and linked tickets, downloads images and files, and carries over type and labels as kind and tags.
  • Jira descriptions and comments now arrive as readable text instead of raw wiki markup, including headings, lists, tables, code blocks and images.
  • Starting a ticket now re-fetches its current Jira state without touching the plan you built locally; the subtasks of an Epic pick up the state of the parent ticket.
  • A ticket that changed in Jira since the last sync now says so directly on the ticket pill, without an extra lookup.
  • A managed version whose planned release date has arrived or passed without being marked as released now warns you: a banner above the task list, a pill on the project in the sidebar and a Release health card in Insights.
Changed
  • The picker for templates and commands now lists the entries alphabetically, so you find the one you want faster.
  • The Jira import now remembers the project you picked last time and preselects it.
  • Jira tickets are fetched with much more detail on import, and a dedicated window shows that Jira information inside Sightdeck AI.
  • Sightdeck Remote can now move a task between Backlog, Up Next and Done from your phone.
  • Sightdeck Remote now has a Resume button on a running task, so a stalled Claude session can be picked up again from your phone.
  • Every button, link and dropdown in the Remote now dims and spins the moment you tap it, so a slow connection never makes an action look like nothing happened.
  • The desktop app now requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer — Electron 38 and later dropped support for macOS 11, so the app no longer runs on Big Sur or earlier.
  • The action buttons in the right task sidebar have a more compact and cleaner layout.
  • Task tags now also show on the Remote's live task cards — Now Running and the Running Tasks board — not just in the task detail view.
  • The Anywhere Remote page now offers a Save connection link button, so a phone that loses its saved pairing — for example after Safari clears its site data — gets back in without scanning a QR code on the desktop again.
  • Disabled models in Settings collapse behind a single "Disabled models" row, so the list only shows the models you actually use.
  • Drag a queued task up or down inside Up Next to change the order the queue is worked off in.
  • You can now remove single subtasks while editing a plan, with a confirmation before they are deleted.
  • The auto-run switch is now remembered per project on your machine, so each project keeps its own setting.
  • You can now set feature branches and worktrees for yourself, without changing them for everyone on the project.
  • You can now switch single subtasks off in the plan review — the ones you skip are not created when you approve.
  • The restart action now lives in the "..." menu of the right side panel instead of the main action button row.
  • Tasks moved to another board now always land in the backlog.
  • Claude now closes a finished ticket before asking anything else, so a task waiting for you really is waiting for you.
  • Task card settings are more compact, show a sample for every field and let you switch all fields on or off at once.
  • The task card field options in the settings are grouped by Planning, Timing and Tracking.
  • The Tags filter is hidden in the All Projects view, since a tag always belongs to a single project.
  • Agents now clearly flag a paused task and list your choices as a numbered list instead of a plain sentence.
  • Images from Jira tickets now render in the ticket window instead of showing as a broken link, and internal markup comments no longer appear as text.
  • The ticket window now shows the linked Jira number together with status, type, priority and labels instead of silently dropping that information.
  • Screenshots from a ticket now appear as an image with its filename and open full-size on click, attachments show as preview tiles instead of a path table, and comments read as a history.
  • A running task without a step plan no longer shows a moving bar that is not tracking anything.
  • You can now see which file a running task is working on, and the progress display is on by default.
  • A failed refinement now shows the real reason — including a clear "Claude is not logged in" message — instead of one generic notice, and it stays on record in the task's history.
Fixed
  • Fixed dragging a new project into the sidebar, which could land in the wrong position and overlap other entries when combined groups exist.
  • Temporary files written while exporting the Claude skill or saving a plan concept now land in a private, owner-only folder instead of a predictable path in the shared system temp directory.
  • The calendar sidebar subtitle now counts your local day instead of the UTC day.
  • A finished epic now keeps its finished subtasks under it in the list, instead of showing the epic and every one of its children as separate rows side by side.
  • The Open button next to the Remote pill in the header now takes you straight to a working Remote session instead of an unauthorized blank page.
  • The update check reliably detects new versions again instead of silently failing on a redirect.
  • In the Jira import wizard, the select and deselect button now matches the actual selection state of the listed items.
  • Unchecking a ticket by hand in the Jira import wizard immediately updates the button to read "Select all", so clicking it deselects the rest instead of re-selecting everything.
  • Jira-imported tasks now show a live "Refining…" indicator while Claude classifies them in the background, instead of appearing stuck with no feedback.
  • Indented list items now render as a properly nested list instead of raw text with a visible dash — in the Jira reader, concept panels, chat, Remote and PDF exports.
  • A task that is already classified but still waiting on a background refinement now offers Start directly in the detail panel, so you can launch it right away.
  • In the Remote composer, tapping a template now visibly marks it and shows its name on the dropdown, so the pick no longer looks like nothing happened.
  • Answers you send from the Remote now reach the agent that asked — typed straight into its open session, or handed to a fresh one when that window is gone — so the run actually continues instead of stalling.
  • Worktree mode now runs each task's Claude session inside its own worktree, so parallel tasks stop sharing one working copy and the work lands on the task's branch.
  • Fable stays available in the model pickers — a failed or timed-out Claude check no longer removes it from the list on first launch.
  • Backups now restore app-managed projects onto a different machine instead of silently leaving them out.
  • Epic status chips refresh right after Start Epic, a bulk start or a change to a running lane, instead of showing a stale state until an unrelated update corrected it.
  • Fixed a bug in the Add project modal where typing quickly into the fields right after opening it could redirect your text into the wrong field.
  • Sightdeck AI no longer leaves an orphaned .git/index.lock behind in your repository, which used to block every following git add and commit until you deleted the file by hand.
  • An unreadable task file is now reported as an error instead of being replaced with an empty task list, a migrated file keeps all of its project settings, and the app and the Claude skill no longer write over each other.
  • Tapping a text field in the Remote web interface no longer leaves the page zoomed in on mobile.
  • Finished epics in the Remote done list always show as expandable epics with their subtasks, instead of dropping to a plain row when the list is capped.
  • The Remote overview's Up Next list now shows the queue in the order it will actually be worked, counts how many are queued and says when it is showing fewer than that — and a project's own queue is no longer pushed off the list by another project's.
  • Tasks started automatically from Up Next now stop and ask you when they hit a real blocker instead of going silent.
  • Manually starting a queued task or epic asks you questions again instead of running silently unattended.
  • Re-planning an Epic now shows the existing subtasks alongside the new ones in the approval dialog.
  • Name and prefix fields in the team setup now show the real values read from git instead of placeholders, so you can submit without retyping them.
  • External ticket references containing special characters such as & now show correctly on cards, tiles and the detail view.
  • The auto-run switch is hidden in the All Projects view, since auto-run is chosen per project.
1.3.0
Added
  • Brand new Sightdeck Remote — a full remote control on your phone: activate the server in the global settings, scan the QR code once, then see live status, answer your agents, and add or start new tasks from anywhere.
  • New Schedules in project settings — run a task, a task template, or a launch action on a timer.
  • New live activity information — see the files Claude is modifying in real time.
  • New option to sync a status transition back to Jira — open the project settings and use the new Jira tab to configure it.
  • You can now decide in the global settings whether Claude runs open a visible CLI window or work silently in the background — a question from Claude still opens a window when it needs your answer.
  • A new Epics toggle in the filter bar lets you hide Epics from List, Board and Roadmap — their subtasks then show up as regular tasks.
  • Backlog and Done areas can now be collapsed in a project's list view.
  • You can right-click a backlog task and add it to a run that is already going, so it starts automatically once the run gets to it — no more waiting for a run to finish before queueing the next thing.
  • You can take a queued task back out of a running lane — right-click the waiting card, or hit Remove on its tile in Running Tasks — and it returns to the Backlog untouched while the run carries on.
  • Finished tasks now move out of your live task file into a separate archive, so the app stays fast as a project grows — archived tasks stay searchable, readable by ID, and restorable with one click.
  • A Task Template can now ask for a one-off prompt when used — a small popup collects extra input that is added on top of the template before the task is created.
Changed
  • The Changelog Builder now skips changes on subtasks as well as internal test modifications.
  • Disabled models are now shown in a separate context menu in the right detail panel of a task, and listed at the bottom of the model list in Global Settings.
  • Improved the display of task templates in the context menu.
  • Task numbers are no longer reused after a task is deleted, so a new task can't inherit an old task's leftover concept — there will always be a new task ID.
  • Date and time pickers now open when you click anywhere in the field, not just the calendar icon, and the calendar icon is visible on dark backgrounds everywhere.
  • Deleting a multi-selection that contains an Epic now removes that Epic's subtasks too.
  • A scheduled task card now names the run it is queued onto with a “→ Lane 1” hint next to the status pill, including which task is running and how many are ahead of it.
  • A running task with an amber or red warning badge now gets a small key above the list that names each badge and explains it in one sentence, so you no longer have to hover them one by one to find out what's wrong — see Needs You.
  • Tasks now carry an Auto-answered pill and a timeline entry whenever the scheduler answered a question for you, so a finished Auto-Run chain shows which decisions were yours and which the agent made itself.
  • Cards in In Progress, Up Next, In Testing and Waiting for Review now show the assigned Claude model right after launch, instead of only once the first token usage has been recorded.
  • Up Next now runs strictly first-in-first-out: tasks start in the order you queued them, and a task you queue now always goes to the end of the line.
  • A failed task refinement no longer interrupts you with a popup — it keeps your original text as the title and shows a quiet toast instead, with Restart Refinement to retry.
Fixed
  • Fixed a bug where tasks weren't found in some projects that keep their sightdeck.xml file directly in the project folder.
  • The display of a task's origin is now more stable — Running Tasks shows how each task was started (Claude CLI, Claude Cowork, or Sightdeck AI).
  • The cost and token figures in a task's usage pill now use calibrated colors instead of transparency, so they stay readable in both light and dark themes.
  • The Launch Actions and Task Templates editor forms now actually close when you hit Cancel or Save, instead of staying open on screen.
  • Fixed the task title breaking one character per line when the list column is narrow with the detail panel open on a small window — it now wraps by word.
  • Deleting a task whose Claude session may still be running now warns you first — the confirmation names the affected tasks and their status, on single, Epic-cascade and bulk deletes alike.
  • A task that starts waiting for your answer now fires a native notification and adds a dock badge, so a blocking question is no longer invisible while Sightdeck AI sits in the background.
  • Sightdeck AI now records whether each test run actually passed or failed, and projects can switch on a gate that refuses to close a task without a fresh green run.
  • Settings now checks the custom Planning skill name against the skills installed in your Claude environment: it suggests the ones it finds and warns inline when the typed name matches none.
  • When a version's manual Released flag and the Roadmap's automatic released state disagree, both the Versions list and the Roadmap flag now explain why instead of leaving the mismatch looking like a bug.
  • Fixed a problem where Up Next tasks were not processed in the order they were added.
1.2.0
Added
  • New Task Templates — save reusable prompts like “Start tests and fix until they pass” in project settings and add them to your backlog in one click.
  • New Kanban Board view for tasks and epics — watch work move across status columns from left to right.
  • New Roadmap view for epics and tasks — plan your releases on a timeline and see how your epics are progressing.
  • New version management in project settings — create versions with release dates, assign tasks to them, and track each release’s progress on the Roadmap.
  • Tasks now show which skills Claude used while implementing them.
  • Every task now gets a copy-paste changelog line you can drop straight into your own changelog.
  • New custom Claude command per project — wrap Claude behind your own binary or alias, for example to use a different Claude account per project.
  • Epics now show a progress bar of how many subtasks are done and how many are still open.
  • Plan Mode no longer creates subtasks immediately — it drafts the concept and planned structure into a review window where you approve, adjust, or discard first.
  • New Plan Mode engine setting in Model Assignment — run planning through Claude’s official plan mode, or even your own custom skill.
Changed
  • Task status can now move from any status to any other, for a more flexible workflow.
  • Resuming a task now continues the previous Claude session with claude --resume instead of starting a new one, keeping its context and memory.
  • The Give Feedback button also resumes the previous session in the new terminal, for the same context retention.
  • The Project Settings form now has consistent height and save behaviour across all tabs.
  • Run in order now starts each task in its own CLI window one after another, so every task keeps its own recommended model — and the running task shows the whole chain.
  • Epics with subtasks can now be planned again to refine the breakdown further.
  • Converting a research entry into a task now opens a modal where you can add optional extra instructions before the task is created.
  • Adding a project now only asks for the repo folder — Sightdeck AI works out where the task data lives, just like drag & drop.
  • The Jira Import Wizard now has a status filter on the search results.
  • Epics show their changelog line in the right sidebar again.
  • The new-task bar now has an expand button that opens a larger, resizable text area, so you can write and read longer task descriptions or paste multiple lines.
Fixed
  • Auto-Run tasks no longer stay in Auto-Run mode after you move them back to Backlog by hand.
  • Auto-Run tasks are no longer sometimes moved to “Feedback Required” when they shouldn’t be.
  • The skill now installs hooks with personal machine paths into settings.local.json instead of the tracked settings.json, so fresh clones no longer inherit another developer’s home path.
  • Launch Action buttons now start reliably even when a project’s task file has moved between its storage locations, instead of failing with an “unknown Launch Action” error.
  • Adding an external project whose Sightdeck AI data already lived in .agents/sightdeck is now detected correctly instead of creating a duplicate, empty project.
1.1.0
Added
  • New Launch Actions in project settings, so custom flows can be triggered from outside Sightdeck AI.
  • New Jira Import Wizard to import multiple Jira tasks at once into Sightdeck AI.
  • Live status indicator on Jira-linked tasks.
  • A dedicated planning-model assignment in the global settings, so you can pick a specific model just for planning.
  • A path list in the Changelog Builder for better support of mono-repos, where not every folder should feed the changelog.
  • A refresh button on the models page in the global settings.
Changed
  • Improved the Auto-Pilot feature with better file-touch prediction to avoid conflicts on parallel starts.
  • Improved the token-count indicator — list cards no longer show cached-read tokens to avoid confusion; the detail panel still has all the information.
  • Removed the extra Jira indicator in the Sightdeck AI task ID on Jira-linked tasks.
  • The settings tab formerly labelled “Refinement” is now called “Model Assignment”.
  • The Settings window keeps a fixed height across all tabs — long tabs scroll internally instead of resizing the window.
  • Terminal windows now stay open after a run finishes — the unreliable auto-close behaviour has been removed.
  • The skill re-reads your CLAUDE.md between tasks when running in series, so it doesn't lose project context over a long run.
  • The skill now shows the desktop-app version instead of the build number.
  • When your project creates follow-up tasks, the skill now checks whether each one belongs to an existing epic.
Fixed
  • Side-menu Project and Group buttons no longer overlap when the sidebar is narrow; they now wrap onto separate rows.
  • Adding a project by drag-and-drop now accepts folders only; dropping a file no longer creates a stray project and shows a hint pointing to the Add-project menu.
  • Disabled Claude models stay visible but unselectable in the refinement dropdowns and model pickers (labelled “(disabled)” with a tooltip to Settings → Models), and refinement never assigns a disabled model — it falls back to the next available model family.
  • Ghost-duplicate subtask rows in expanded epics are no longer draggable when both copies are visible.
  • The source error-pill now correctly appears for corrupt XML files that were auto-migrated by the skeleton repair.
1.0.0
Added
  • Initial release.
