Project groups

Past a handful of projects the sidebar becomes a list you scroll rather than read. A group is a named box you drag projects into — client work, side projects, archived — and it collapses to a single row with the counts of everything inside it.

What you get

  • Named groups in the sidebar, in an order you set by dragging.
  • A group row that carries the combined counts of its projects, so a collapsed group still tells you whether something in it needs you.
  • Collapsing that sticks — the app remembers which groups you left closed.
  • Projects that belong to no group stay where they are; grouping is optional and partial.

How you use it

  1. Press Group at the top of the sidebar and give the group a name.
  2. Drag a project onto the group. Dropping anywhere over the group works, not just onto a project inside it.
  3. Click the group's caret to collapse it.
  4. Drag a project out again to take it back out of the group.

Deleting a group does not delete its projects — they move back out to the top level.

Where the grouping lives

Which group a project sits in is stored with the project itself, so it travels with the project. The group names and their order are settings of the app on this machine.

For a view across every project at once — regardless of grouping — use All projects.
